I’m passionate about helping your dream book become reality.

Hi, I’m Hannah

I love to help fiction authors plan, draft, revise, and pitch meaningful stories.

I especially love to work with Christian writers who want to write for a secular market. And I love every age category!(Though there’s a special place in my heart for Middle Grade!)

As an Author Accelerator Certified Fiction book coach*, I’ve received extensive training from the wonderful Jennie Nash through her Author Accelerator Book Coaching Program, to learn how to help writers at the deep story level, as well as with how to navigate the path to publication.

And with a previous Bachelors degree in English with a Certification in Creative Writing, I already had a solid foundation in story and writing craft. (Like many English majors, I had no idea how I would end up using this degree — until I found the magical world of book coaching!)

When I’m not book coaching, I’m also a contract editor for North Eastern Baptist Press.

I’ve always been that kid (and now adult) staying up till ungodly hours of the night with a flashlight reading books.

And I’m here to help you on your journey to get that idea of yours on the page and under many such flashlights!

*As an Author Accelerator certified book coach, I am qualified to coach writers using Author Accelerator’s strategy, methods, and materials, but I operate independently of Author Accelerator and am not affiliated with them.

Fun Facts

  • My top Clifton Strengthsfinder strengths are Intellection, Belief, Restorative (problem solving), Connectedness, and Empathy.

  • I love to write redemptive stories about social justice, forgiveness, and seeing the good in others.

  • I’m married to a man I met at a retreat for pastor’s kids, who likes to think outside-the-box like me, and together we love to play board games, make tea, and lose sleep reading books aloud and discussing them. I’m also a new mom — to our son, who keeps us on our toes! We love city life and nature walks, sleep on a mattress on the floor by choice, and believe that every season is soup season.

Faith Background

I’ve grown up knowing and loving Christ from a very young age,

very involved in Chi Alpha campus ministry, of the Assemblies of God,

in which my parents were U.S. missionaries.

That said, I'm a big believer in unity,

having been involved in various communities in various times and places –

— Pentecostal, Baptist, Catholic, Non-Denominational...

If you love Jesus and writing, let’s talk!

Post-college, I began to get more serious

about some of the things I’d failed to pursue that are asked of us in God’s Word –

things like caring for the poor, and making space for all to use their gifts,

rather than just a special few – equipping the saints.

During that time, God put it in mine and my now-husband’s hearts

to plant house churches in New England,

which is what we day by day pursue,

with God’s grace.

I help driven Christian writers find clarity & develop their craft.

I can help.

Start off on the right foot.

Whether you tend to over-plan & procrastinate, or under-plan & shoot without a target, neither will get you where you want to be. In finding a balance, & steering you away from common pitfalls -

I can help.

Get unstuck.

If you’re somewhere in the middle, and something is wrong, but you’re not sure what or how to fix it - I can help. If somewhere along the way you’ve lost the heart of your story - I can help. If you’ve been writing to find what you’re trying to say - “pantsing,” if you will - but aren’t finding it -

I can help.

Address a bad case of the “now-what?”s

Whether it’s what to do once you’ve finished your draft, or what to do once you’re ready to publish (but not sure where to start,) or what to do if you’ve tried pitching but have gotten rejections or radio silence -

I can help.
